New York Life Insurance opens Maui office

The 450-square-foot office at 173 Alamaha St. is managed by Ed Fabregas, who relocated from New York Life?s Dallas office to establish the company?s presence on Maui. The office also has two agents.

Integro brokerage names Marc Kunney to head new USA unit

Owners of construction company convicted on tax charges
Two Dracut, Mass., brothers who ran an excavation company based in the town were convicted by a federal jury of tax evasion.
Paul Brown, 45, and Raymond Brown, 45, each was found guilty of one count of conspiracy to impair, impede and obstruct the Internal Revenue Service effort to collect income taxes. Each also was convicted of one count of tax evasion.
Deborah Brown, Raymond Brown's wife, was acquitted of all charges against her.

Prudential severs ties with Sandvold agency after investigations
Prudential Insurance Co. of America has severed ties with Terry Sandvold, a top producer for the insurance firm and its securities arm, following "two extensive, months-long investigations" into practices at Sandvold and Associates Insurance and Financial Services Group in St. Louis Park.

Target attorney running for Michel's senate seat in Edina

Politics in Minnesota reports that Target Corp. attorney Melisa Lopez Franzen announced on Tuesday her bid for the DFL endorsement for the seat.

Washington not talking about foreclosure settlement as 40 states sign on

More than 40 states opted in as the deadline for joining the proposed state-federal mortgage service settlement passed Monday, CNN Money reported.
The office of Washington State Attorney General Rob McKenna declined to say anything about the deal until it is official.

Tango Health gets $4M in funding

The Austin-based startup received the financing from S3 Ventures and Mike Turner, founder and CEO of Austin-based Waveset Technologies Inc., which was acquired by Sun Microsystems Inc. in 2003.
Funding will be used to increase marketing and sales and expand product development in other markets, Tango officials said Tuesday.

Centene 4Q profit rises 19%
Centene Corp., the parent of Managed Health Services in West Allis, reported today that its fourth-quarter profit rose 18.6 percent to $30.1 million, compared with a profit of $25.4 million in the prior-year's quarter.
For the quarter ended Dec. 31, St. Louis-based Centene (NYSE: CNC) reported total revenue of $1.5 billion, up 27.6 percent from total revenue of nearly $1.2 billion in the fourth quarter of 2010.
