List names top companies for executive women
<img src='http://assets.bizjournals.com/charlotte/Bank%20of%20America%20315*100.jpg?v=1'>Many companies with a big Valley presence scored a spot on the National Association for Female Executives 2012 list of the ?Top 50 Companies for Executive Women,? which was recently released.
Bank of America Corp., JPMorgan Chase & Co., KPMG, American Express and Intel Corp. all landed a spot., as did retailers Walmart, Macy?s and Office Depot. Many of those companies are among the largest employers in Arizona.

Oregon revenue: down by $35 million
While Oregon state economists have revised the state?s budget downward, lawmakers believe the adjustment is small enough that the state can easily absorb the hit.
The state on Wednesday revised its revenue forecast lower by $35.1 million for the 2011-13 biennium and by $15.8 million for the 2013-15 biennium.

In Jersey, doctors to post appeal info
Doctors offices around New Jersey will be required to post information on how patients can appeal insurance company denials.

Brownback administration plans to choose Medicaid providers by summer
Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback expects it will have a decision this summer on which private companies will manage the state's Medicaid program, according to an Associated Press report that appears on KMUW.
Brownback is proposing converting the state's Medicaid program to a managed care system. The system would give clients a choice in coverage by issuing contracts to three providers that would operate statewide.<div class="feedflare">

Opponents: KPERS fix would cost additional $10.9 billion
Opponents of a plan to fix the Kansas Public Employees Retirement System say it will cost the state nearly $11 billion more than previous repairs, The Topeka Capital-Journal reports.
KPERS currently carries an actuarial deficit of $8.3 billion through 2033.
The plan working its way through the House and Senate attempts to fill that gap, also called an ?unfunded actuarial liability? during the next 30 years.<div class="feedflare">

ABC Action News: Lifestyle Lift clinics being investigated
Florida's Attorney General is investigating Lifestyle Lift, a company that advertises "less invasive, cheaper facelifts," an I-Team investigation at ABC Action News has found.
The station reviewed all the complaints filed against against the Michigan company that, according to the report, said it operates 40 clinics nationally. The company has a location in Westshore.
Some patients said they were told treatments would make them look younger, "but the results didn?t live up," the report said.
In addition to the attorney general's investigation, the company faces two ongoing lawsuits alleging false advertising filed in Hillsborough and Pinellas counties, and has several claims from unsatisfied patients, ABC reports.<div class="feedflare">

Ohio billionaire bankrolling pot initiative
Ohio billionaire Peter Lewis is almost entirely bankrolling a proposed ballot question that would legalize the medicinal use of marijuana in Massachusetts, the Patriot Ledger reports. Lewis has backed similar efforts in other states.
Lewis, chairman of auto insurer Progressive Corp., contributed $525,000 to the Committee for Compassionate Medicine, which is supporting the question. That accounted for virtually all the $526,167 raised by the group in 2011, the Ledger notes.<div class="feedflare">

MapLight data shows top congressional influencers by donation
MapLight, a nonpartisan research group that focuses on money and politics, released information and a database showing the top five business and group donors to sitting members of Congress.
A report by sister publication the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal includes a photo gallery of the top nine business or group donors according to the MapLight report, and gives readers a chance to click through an accompanying database by state and company or group name.

New York Life Insurance opens Maui office

The 450-square-foot office at 173 Alamaha St. is managed by Ed Fabregas, who relocated from New York Life?s Dallas office to establish the company?s presence on Maui. The office also has two agents.
